Project Description:
The Lohman Medical Office Building is a thoughtfully designed two-story facility, encompassing approximately 25,582 square feet, dedicated to housing the Mountain View Medical Complex’s Children’s Center. The architectural intent was to create a distinctive yet cohesive addition to the Mountain View Medical Campus, blending seamlessly with the existing structures while establishing its own identity.
The building’s exterior features a modern design that prioritizes both aesthetics and functionality. Inside, the layout accommodates a variety of medical office types, including Urgent Care and Pediatrics, ensuring flexibility to meet diverse healthcare needs. The interior finishes strike a balance between professionalism and playfulness, reflecting the facility’s primary focus on child care while providing a welcoming environment for families.
Throughout the project, Desert Peak Architects coordinated closely with multiple parties and user groups. Notably, the user group underwent changes just as the design was nearing completion, prompting several revisions to the building’s layout. These adjustments were made to guarantee that the final design provided functional and desirable spaces that met the operational needs of the new user group.
The Lohman Medical Office Building not only enhances the Mountain View Medical Campus but also enriches the community by providing a dedicated space for children’s healthcare, fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere for young patients and their families. Through meticulous design and collaborative effort, this facility stands as a testament to the commitment to quality healthcare in the region.
